National Final of the Credit Union Schools Quiz
We are so proud of Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn bright sparks Iarla O hAinifein, Grace Ni Dhomnaill, Ruairi O Lionsigh, Donnchadh Mac Uileagoid on their joint 3rd place finish at the National Final of the Credit Union Schools Quiz, which took place in The RDS, Dublin on April 7th.

2019 Cara Credit Union’s School Quiz
The Noreen Lynch Annual Cara Credit Union Schools Quiz was held on Sunday 3rd of February in the Brandon Hotel Conference Centre, Tralee. We were delighted to host 48 teams from 26 primary schools throughout Tralee, Castleisland, Killorglin and surrounding areas as 192 children battled it out in a nerve-wrecking competition.
The theme of the 2019 Credit Union School Quiz was the ‘Power of Four’. To aim of the Credit Union School Quiz is to encourage local children to work together and see what they are capable of achieving as part of a team. We were delighted with the support from all the schools who battled it out for the fun filled action packed two hours. With the talent in the room it’s obvious that the future is in safe hands. Our thanks to all the schools, students and their families and of course to the Cara Credit Union’s team for making this event one of the biggest events on the school calendar.
The Winners were:
In the Under 11 age category:
1st place was awarded to Spa National School,
2nd place to Ardfert National School
3rd place to Kilmurry National School in Cordal.
In the Under 13 age category:
1st place was awarded to Scoil Mhic Easmiann in Tralee,
2nd place to Scoil Muire gan Smal in Castleisland
3rd place to Scoil Eoin Balloonagh

1st and 2nd place winners in both categories will now go on to represent Cara Credit Union at the next stage of Credit Unions Schools Quiz, the Chapter (regional) round of the National Schools Quiz.
