Cara Credit Union membership is voluntary, and is open to everyone who lives and /or works within our Common Bond.

The Common Bond differentiates Cara Credit Union from other financial institutions, in that membership is exclusive to those who share it.

Cara Credit Union’s Common Bond is defined as

Tralee and surrounding areas

  • The residence or employment in the Tralee postal district

Castleisland and surrounding areas

  • The residence or employment in any of the parishes of Castleisland, Firies, Ballydesmond and Killeentierna.

Killorglin and surrounding areas

  • The residence or employment within the Roman Catholic Parish of St James and the Kilgobnet Postal area west Gaddagh River and the areas of Glenbeigh and Glencar.

 Ballyduff & Causeway and surrounding areas

  • The residence or employment of the catchment area of Causeway Comprehensive School. The principle villages within the area are Abbeydorney, Ardfert, Ballyduff, Ballyheigue, Causeway, Kilmoyley and Lixnaw.

Area of Corca Dhuibhne

  • The residence or employment in any of the parishes in Corca Dhuibhne.
